FAQ about eSIM cards from Trvlyou
Basic Concepts
- An eSIM (embedded SIM or virtual SIM) is a technology that allows you to activate and manage multiple mobile data plans on a single device. It eliminates the need for a physical SIM card and makes it easier to use services from different mobile operators on one device.
Our eSIMs are data-only and do not include a phone number.
Each eSIM works only in the country or region it was purchased for. For example, a US eSIM will not work in Italy — it activates only within the United States.
eSIM installation is one-time. Please do not delete it after activation — reinstalling it is not possible. The eSIM also cannot be transferred to another device.
Enter your phone model — the system will show whether it supports eSIM or dial *#06# on your phone’s keyboard. If you see an EID number (32 characters), your phone supports eSIM.
- Each QR code is a unique identifier and can only be used on one device.
- Activates on network connection; expires if not activated within 180 days
- We will send a notification and an email when you have used 30% of your data. You can always check this information in your account and top up if needed.
- We accept bank cards issued worldwide, as well as USDT payments.
- Yes! Trvlyou offers refunds for eSIM plans and top-ups purchased within 14 days of the purchase date. Please note: refunds are not available for plans that have been used or have expired. To request a refund, contact us at hello@trvlyou.space
- You can share your mobile data via personal hotspot using your eSIM profile. Simply install the eSIM on your device and enable Personal Hotspot in settings. This feature is enabled by default and comes at no extra cost.
eSIM Installation & Activation
Find the QR code in your account.
Three installation methods are available for our eSIM:
- Automatic - Tap “Install” and the setup will complete automatically.
- QR code - Scan the QR code (you can use the Camera app).
- Manual - Install the plan by entering the 'SM-DP+ Address' and 'Activation Code'.
Note: After installation, do not forget to turn on data roaming.
*A detailed step-by-step guide with screenshots is available in your account.
Troubleshooting
When you arrive in the country specified in your plan, your eSIM should automatically register with a local network and connect to the internet. This usually takes up to 15 minutes. If the network does not appear, try selecting an operator manually.
Manual network selection
- Open Settings: Cellular → select your eSIM → Network Selection.
- Disable the “Automatic” option.
- Wait a few seconds — a list of available operators will appear.
- If you are not sure which operators are supported by your plan, try selecting the available networks one by one.
- Turn Airplane mode on and off to refresh the connection.
⚠️ Important! Do not delete the eSIM from your device, as reinstalling it may not be possible.
If the network is visible but the internet is not working, check the following:
- Is data roaming enabled for the eSIM
- Are mobile data enabled on the device
- Has your data or plan validity period expired
If the internet still doesn’t appear after this, try selecting a network manually.
- If you see an error such as “eSIM activation failed” or “Unable to add eSIM,” it means the profile is already installed. Check the SIM list in your device settings (the Trvlyou profile may appear under a different name).
